Introduction
to Kayaking
(for people with no experience or limited experience)
Practice in the quiet shallows of The Straits.
One Hour lesson: $20
Two
Hour Basic Tour
This tour takes place in The Straits, adjacent to salt
marshes, mud flats, and sandbars. Good for moderate levels of
paddling skills. Depending on the state of the tide, you will
have the opportunity to explore the edge of the marsh, or get
out and do some shelling on a distant sandbar.

North
River Marshes Tour
Rich Spartina salt marsh with snake-like creeks opening into
small bays, good or general exploring, with a wide variety of
shore birds. Moderate level of paddling.
Adults: $60
Brown's
Island Tour
For general sight seeing of boating and some commercial
fishing activities as well as birding. Once in the area of the
Island, cattle and horses can be seen grazing in the marshes,
along with egrets, herons, dow ditchers, and godwits. This trip
takes you through The Straits, Core Sound, Eastmouth Bay, and
Westmouth Bay. Tour also requires a good level of kayaking experience.
